Petrified Forest National Park Part Two of Three

"I walked around the sad honkytonks of Curtis Street; young kids in jeans and red shirts; peanut shells, movie marquees, shooting parlours. Beyond the glittering street was darkness, and beyond the darkness the West. I had to go."

- Jack Kerouac, On the Road.

Petrified Forest Part One of Three

"What can oppose the decline of the west is not a resurrected culture but the utopia that is silently contained in the image of its decline." - Theodor W. Adorno

Poetry By Boots

While exploring abandoned places I noticed that someone was hanging their poetry on the walls of abandoned buildings.... Being curious I googled it. Another fellow traveler doing her things. Love her poetry and her creativeness.

She describes herself as "I write poetry while traveling, photographing, & putting up poems in abandoned places."

Two Guns Arizona Part Three of Three

"My restless, roaming spirit would not allow

me to remain at home very long." - Buffalo Bill

What remains of Two Guns are the ruins of the original stone houses, the Apache Death Cave, the ruins of the buildings built in the final attempt to revive the town and the Canyon Diablo Bridge which was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 30, 1988.

Two Guns is now owned by Russell Crowe who purchased it as a possible location for a remake of Westworld.
